Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Blades – (SFBB). We are a LGBT rowing organization dedicated to the promotion and visibility of the sport of rowing in the gay community and the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender athletes in the rowing community of the San Francisco Bay Area. We row on Lake Merritt and are part of the Lake Merritt Rowing Club.

The SFBB was founded in 1998 to represent and prepare competitive rowers for the Gay Games in Amsterdam. We welcome both competitive and recreational rowers and coxswains: Competitive and Recreational.

We welcome all members of the LGBT community and their friends.
